News Items of Interest

11th May 2010

IPRT are always on the look-out for relevant news items which could be of interest.

We hope the opportunities below fit that bill!

The UCD Institute of Criminology, in association with the Association for Criminal Justice Research and Development, are launching a new publication, ‘The Dynamics of Desistance: Charting pathways through change’ by Dr Deirdre Healy on Wednesday 9th June, at 49 Merrion Square.

Dr Healy is a post-doctoral Research Fellow at UCD, and aims to produce the first comprehensive study of desistance in Ireland; this work represents the second stage of this aim.

If you would like to attend the launch please contact Angela Ennis at UCD.

The Dublin Institute of Technology are inviting interested applicants for their MA in Applied Media Studies.

DIT’s School of Media has been an innovative educator for over 50 years now and the MA, a two-year part-time course, seeks to apply academic concepts to the reality of communications today.

Applicants are open until 11th September, but those interested parties are asked to submit early as there are expectations the course will prove popular.
