IPRT is delighted to announce our involvement as co-sponsor of the Irish Association of Law Teacher’s Spring Seminar, to be delivered this year by Professor Conor Gearty of the London School of Economics. Prof Gearty will be speaking about his current project The Rights' Future: Exploring Dignity, Accountability, Equality and Commitment, details of which are available here.

Venue: Senate Room, National University of Ireland, 49 Merrion Square, Dublin 2
Date: 6th April 2011
Time:
630pm

Prof Gearty is one of the world’s leading thinkers and writers on human rights.  The theme of his paper “'The Rights' Future: Exploring Dignity, Accountability, Equality and Commitment'” has a special resonance with issues facing the Irish prison system at present. As always, we look forward to a provocative and profound evening for anyone with an interest in human rights and the role of law in protecting the vulnerable in society.

Registrations:

The event is free but places are limited. IPRT members or friends who wish to attend should contact Mary Gaffney at info@iprt.ie or tel: 01-8741400
