In a guest blog on KODLyons.ie, Liam Herrick writes on the potential for the use of the courts to advance penal reform in Ireland:

"The Irish Penal Reform Trust (IPRT) believes that there is great potential for the use of the courts to advance penal reform in Ireland and we are currently working hard to try to support lawyers such as KOD Lyons in prisoner litigation. [...] From a penal reform perspective, one of the striking features of the Irish landscape has been the limited role that the courts have played in advancing the rights of prisoners...."
