DIT Seminar: 'If it Bleeds, it Leads?: The Media Reporting of Crime in Ireland'

Dearbhail McDonald, the Legal Editor for the Irish Independent, and Lynsey Black, a Lecturer at the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) will be speaking at a seminar in the DIT Socio-Legal Speaker Series, called 'If it Bleeds, it Leads?: The Media Reporting of Crime in Ireland.' The seminar will examine the nature of crime reporting in Ireland, exploring issues of responsible journalism and the media's effect on crime policy. The discussion will be chaired by Liam Herrick, Executive Director of the IPRT.

The seminar will take place on Tuesday March 13 from 6-7:30pm at the Dublin Institute of Technology Room 3067/8, Aungier Street, Dublin 2.
