Vivien Stern is Senior Research Fellow at the International Centre for Prison Studies, King's College London. She has wide experience in criminal justice work and with non-governmental organisations. Since 1989 she has been honorary Secretary General of Penal Reform International, a network for prison reform which currently has projects in 40 countries.
