The Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Mr. Thomas Hammarberg conducted an official visit to Ireland from 26 to 30 November 2007.

The report identifies opportunities for improving the protection and
promotion of human rights in Ireland. It outlines specific human rights concerns highlighted by the Commissioner, and reflects what the Commissioner considers to be the priorities for improving the protection of human rights in the country.
