Discussion on Irish Bail Law Reforms and Implementation

In a discussion on the criminal legal aid system, Niamh highlighted the importance of ensuring that everyone has access to independent legal advice and representation. She explained that any reform of the criminal legal aid system must strengthen, rather than undermine, access to justice, and raised concerns that proposals to introduce a flat-fee payment model are not in the best interests of people appearing before the courts.
