In the news: Vaccination of prisoners

IPRT comment featured in an article by Conor Gallagher in The Irish Times, who reported confirmation from the Department of Health that all of the country’s 3,800 prisoners would be vaccinated as part of group nine in the Vaccine Allocation Strategy.

Commenting on the IPRT Executive Director Fíona Ní Chinnéide stated that prisoners who meet the criteria for earlier vaccinations “should be vaccinated at the same time as those groups in the community”.
