KCLRFM Guest Editor: Saoirse Brady - Penal Reform in discussion with Experts with Experience

28th August 2024

Irish Penal Reform Trust (IPRT) Executive Director Saoirse Brady hosts a Guest Editor segment on KCLRFM interviewing Damien Quinn (Speire Nua), Paula Kearney (Brio programme at The Saol Project), and Ryan O'Rourke (Journalist).

The discussion covered a wide range of topics from the services delivered by organisations such as Speire Nua and The Saol Project supporting people after leaving prison, the effect of having a family member in prison, the stigma around prisoners, the support available to help those with convictions to reintegrate into society and lots more.

IPRT's Guest Editor segment is part of a radio series produced by Úna Ní Mhaoldomhnaigh, funded by Comisiún na Mean. Guest Editor invites community representatives to work alongside the KCLRFM production team to present their view of the issues that matter; their hopes, fears and celebrations, in their own way with their own people.
