Remand reform would help solve 'prison overcrowding crisis', report says - RTE News

RTÉ covers IPRT’s Rethinking Remand report, with IPRT’s Niamh McCormack highlighting concerns that behaviour linked to acute mental health crises and addiction is being “criminalised”, with people sent to prison for minor offences rather than receiving appropriate treatment.
