Today FM: Housing of Sex Offenders

6th July 2010

Liam Herrick, Executive Director of IPRT joined Cllr Tom Fortune and Matt Cooper on Today FM's 'The Last Word' to talk about the housing of sex offenders and their families.

The item was in response to public protests over attempts to house the family of a convicted sex offender, following which Wicklow County Councilpassed a motion to remove convicted sex offenders “and those who consort” with them from the local authority housing list. IPRT has a number of concerns about the reported case.

Listen to what they had to say here. (Scroll forward to second item, approx. 13 mins into the hour.)
