IPRT  is delighted to have the support of an esteemed Patron, and four Advocates who champion our work in the area of prisoners’ rights and penal reform.

Our Patron and our Advocates have a strong connection with arts in prisons and a lifelong commitment to advocating for the human rights of prisoners.

Senator Ivana Bacik

Senator Ivana Bacik has long been a member and supporter of IPRT, and is a former Board Member of IPRT.

Paula Meehan

Paula Meehan is a poet and playwright, and member of Aosdána.

John Lonergan

John Lonergan was Governor of Mountjoy Prison until his retirement in 2010.

Peter Sheridan

Peter Sheridan is a playwright, director and author.
