Irish Penal Reform Trust

Gordon Holmes

21st January 2011

IPRT would like to extend our sympathies to the family of the late Gordon Holmes, chairman of the Parole Board, who passed away this week.  Mr. Holmes was one of the first contributors to the IPRT Prison Law Seminar Series, and his paper on the operation of the parole system was inspirational in establishing the series with what has now grown to a large cohort of barristers and solicitors with whom IPRT works.

As one of the leading solicitors in the country, he remains a powerful example of a successful man who believed firmly in public service and who made numerous important contributions to public life both in Limerick and nationally over a long and rich career.

Ar dheis Dé do raibh a h-anam dílis.
