Parliamentary Question: Prison Accommodation

2nd October 2003

267. Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the amount which has been spent on upgrading facilities at Mountjoy prison each year for the past ten years. [21809/03]

Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. McDowell): Information on costs over the years is not readily available in the detail sought which could apply to every improvement however minor and its compilation would involve a disproportionate amount of staff time and resources.
