Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the total number of staff approved for each prison and place of detention here; and the categories and number within each category in respect of each institution. [22181/02]Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. McDowell): It is not possible, for security reasons, to provide the Deputy with a breakdown of staffing levels in each institution. I can confirm, however, that the overall total authorised staffing for the prisons and places of detention here is 3,378.
