Parliamentary Question: Staffing at Fort Mitchell

1171. Mr. Boyle asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if staff in all categories from Fort Mitchell Prison are now employed elsewhere in the Prison Service. [22961/04]

Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. McDowell):  All staff assigned to Fort Mitchel Place of Detention on the date of its closure on 10 February 2004 have been temporarily redeployed to other prison institutions, with the exception of a small number of staff, mainly comprised of trades and specialists grades.
